FMU to close for holidays

Francis Marion University will close for the holidays, beginning at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22. The university will re-open on Tuesday, Jan. 4.

All FMU administrative offices, including the Rogers Library and the Smith University Center, will be closed during that time.

Prior to closing for the holidays, the library will observe the following hours: through Dec. 17, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Dec. 18-19, closed; Dec. 20-22, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. After the holiday break, the library will maintain the following hours, before returning to its normal schedule Jan. 11: Jan. 4-7, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Jan. 8-9, closed; Jan. 10, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The university center will close at 5 p.m. Dec. 17. It will be open only for commencement on Dec. 18, and closed Dec. 19. The UC will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Dec. 20-22. Following the holiday break, the university center will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Jan. 4-7, and from noon to 5 p.m., Jan. 8, before resuming normal operating hours Jan. 9.

Registration for spring classes will be held Monday, Jan. 10. Spring classes will begin Tuesday, Jan. 11. For registration information, contact the FMU Admissions Office at 843-661-1231 or 1-800-368-7551.
