FMU to host Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration, Jan. 15

    FLORENCE, S.C. – The sixth-annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration will be hosted by the Francis Marion University Office of Multicultural Affairs and the Pee Dee Minority and Small Business Division of the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, Jan. 15.

    The celebration will begin at 6 p.m. in the McNair Science Building auditorium on the FMU campus. The event is free and open to the public.

    Speakers will include David Barr of the United Way, Starlee Alexander of State Farm Insurance, and LeRoy Adams, Downtown Development coordinator.

    The event will also include music, sculptures by Wanwadee, and a light reception offered by Sodexho Campus Services.
