FLORENCE, S.C. – The Swamp Fox Writing Project at Francis Marion University will sponsor an African-American Read-In on Sunday, Feb. 1.

     The read-in will be from 2 to 4 p.m. in the McNair Science Building auditorium on the FMU campus. The event is free and open to the public, and children and families are welcome.

     The read-in will celebrate the life and writing of African-Americans. The event will feature readings by local primary, elementary, middle, and high school winners of the Langston Hughes Writing Contest, sponsored by the Swamp Fox Writing Project.
