The first Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce Distinguished Community Service Award will be presented to Robert W. Williams, president and CEO of Pee Dee Electric Cooperative, during a 7 p.m. banquet at Francis Marion University’s Ervin Dining Hall.   Created to honor a citizen for a lifetime of service to the community, the award will be presented by chamber president, Tom Marschel, following a video presentation of Williams’ career.  State Sen. Hugh K. Leatherman will read a resolution from the South Carolina Senate.
