Shenandoah Shakespeare Express to perform "Henry IV, Part 1" at FMU, March 19
Praised by critics for "blowing the cobwebs out of Elizabethan drama," Shenandoah Shakespeare Express delights audiences with a fresh, energetic approach to Shakespeare.

FLORENCE, S.C. – Shenandoah Shakespeare Express will perform “Henry IV, Part 1,” Friday, March 19 at Francis Marion University as part of FMU’s Artist Series.

The performance will begin at 8 p.m. in the McNair Science Building auditorium. Admission is free and open to the public.

Praised by critics for “blowing the cobwebs out of Elizabethan drama,” Shenandoah Shakespeare Express delights audiences with a fresh, energetic approach to Shakespeare.

Even if it hadn’t introduced Sir John Falstaff, “Henry IV, Part 1” would still be the show to see for any audience interested in parent/child relationships, neglected wives, or the shootout at the OK Corral. The play is a big, brawling look at English history, and at the competing claims of duty, honor, and friendship.
