FLORENCE, S.C. – Chris Brubeck’s Triple Play Jazz Trio featuring Peter “Madcat” Ruth and Joel Brown will perform at Francis Marion University as part of FMU’s Artist Series, Monday, March 29.

The concert will begin at 8 p.m. in the Hyman Fine Arts Center’s Kassab Hall. Admission is free and open to the public.

“Triple Play” is the name given to three outstanding and versatile musicians: Peter “Madcat” Ruth (harmonica, guitar, jaw harp, percussion and vocals), Joel Brown (folk and classical acoustic guitar and vocals) and Chris Brubeck (electric bass, bass trombone, piano and vocals). Collectively they bring a rare level of joy, virtuosity, and American spirit to the folk, blues, jazz, funk and classical music they perform.
