Cyprian Gillingham crowned Ms. FMU
FLORENCE, S.C. – Cyprian Gillingham of Hollywood, Md., was crowned Ms. FMU during the annual pageant at Francis Marion University, April 7.
A management major, Gillingham is a member of the FMU women’s soccer team. The junior is also a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority, and is involved with Campus Outreach and Baptist Collegiate Ministry.
Ashley Boone of Kershaw was named first runner-up. She is a junior and is involved in Zeta Tau Alpha sorority, Baptist Collegiate Ministry, and the Psychology Club. An elementary education major, she also works with the Manna House, Adopt-A-Highway, and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
Nealy Cook of Aynor was named second runner-up and Ms. Congeniality. She is a junior and is active as a member of the Beta Beta Beta biology honor society, the Student Government Association, and the Student Alumni Association. A biology major, she is also a resident assistant and an honors student.
Ms. FMU must be a full-time student, have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5, and choose a community service project. The winner is selected based on an interview, pageant performance and overall bearing and ability to best represent Francis Marion University.
