FLORENCE---Seven members of the Board of Trustees of Francis Marion University were re-elected to their positions in a vote April 21 by the state legislature.

Re-elected for another four-year term to the FMU board are:

• Melissa Johnson Emery of Conway, representing Congressional District One.

• Gail Ness Richardson of Barnwell, representing Congressional District Two.

• Patricia C. Hartung of Greenwood, representing Congressional District Three.

• Alex Kiriakides III of Greenville, representing Congressional District Four.

• George McIntyre of Bennettsville, representing Congressional District Five.

• William W. Coleman Jr. of Florence, representing Congressional District Six.

• Robert W. Williams Jr. of Effingham, an at large representative.

Lorraine H. Knight of Hartsville, who held a District Five seat, resigned from the board, and McIntyre, a gubernatorial appointee, ran for her seat.  The governor will now appoint someone to fill McIntyre’s seat.
