FLORENCE---Seven members of the Board of Trustees of Francis Marion University were re-elected to their positions in a vote April 21 by the state legislature.
Re-elected for another four-year term to the FMU board are:
• Melissa Johnson Emery of Conway, representing Congressional District One.
• Gail Ness Richardson of Barnwell, representing Congressional District Two.
• Patricia C. Hartung of Greenwood, representing Congressional District Three.
• Alex Kiriakides III of Greenville, representing Congressional District Four.
• George McIntyre of Bennettsville, representing Congressional District Five.
• William W. Coleman Jr. of Florence, representing Congressional District Six.
• Robert W. Williams Jr. of Effingham, an at large representative.
Lorraine H. Knight of Hartsville, who held a District Five seat, resigned from the board, and McIntyre, a gubernatorial appointee, ran for her seat. The governor will now appoint someone to fill McIntyre’s seat.
The 17-member board is made up of two representatives from each of the six congressional districts, three at large members and two gubernatorial appointees.
