FLORENCE, S.C. – The Francis Marion University women’s volleyball team, off to its best start in five seasons, will open Peach Belt Conference play on Saturday (Sept. 25) when the Patriots entertain 12th-ranked University of North Florida.
The match will begin at 3 p.m. in the Smith University Center.
The 8-6 Patriots will be attempting to snap a 10-match losing skid to the Lady Ospreys, all of which have been by 3-0 scores. UNF was nationally ranked entering seven of those contests.
UNF (7-4) plays at UNC Pembroke on Friday night before visiting Florence.
The FMU men’s soccer team (2-6-0) will also be in action on Saturday as the Patriots play at Belmont Abbey College (4-2-1) in a 2 p.m. match
The Francis Marion women’s soccer team (4-2-0), both Patriot cross country squads, and the ninth-ranked FMU golf team have this weekend off.
