FLORENCE, S.C. – Francis Marion University junior back Mike Greenaway has been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Southeast Region Team for the second straight year.
Greenaway, a native of Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada, was selected to the 11-member first team. He was a third-team choice in 2003.
Greenaway missed the opening three matches of the year with an injury, but started the final 16 matches and scored two goals on nine shots. He anchored a Patriot defense that in his 16 matches allowed only 24 goals, and never more than three in a match.
The FMU men finished the year 8-10-1, with seven of the losses being by one goal.
Greenaway is also a two-time All-Peach Belt Conference pick.
