FMU Sports Schedules

FLORENCE, SC - Rain washed out Monday's softball doubleheader between Francis Marion University and Shaw University, scheduled in Raleigh, N.C.

The 32-15 Patriots will close out their 2004 regular season with a non-conference twinbill at Fayetteville State University, Tuesday at 3 p.m.  FMU will then compete in the Peach Belt Conference Tournament, beginning Friday, in Spartanburg, S.C.

The FMU baseball team (23-17) will play its final road game of the year at Barton College in Wilson, N.C., Tuesday at 3 p.m.

The 34th-ranked FMU men's tennis team (10-10) will face 33rd-ranked USC Aiken (13-8) in the opening match of the PBC Tournament, Thursday at 8 a.m. at the USC Spartanburg Tennis Complex.

The FMU women's tennis team (7-11) will play USCS (8-8) in the first round of the PBC Tournament, Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Reeves Tennis Center in Spartanburg.

Both the men's and women's tennis tournaments will run through Saturday, while the softball championship will conclude on Sunday.

The Patriot men's and women's track and field squads will compete in the Carolinas Championship Meet, Saturday at 11 a.m. in Pembroke, N.C.
