FMU Trustees To Meet Feb. 4
FLORENCE---The Francis Marion University Board of Trustees will hold its quarterly meeting at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 4, in Ervin Dining Hall.
The trustees will consider three resolutions—one approving the FMU Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program, one increasing housing and dining fees, and one authorizing issuance of $1.2 million in state institutional bonds to build a student activity center.
The trustees will also hear reports from their standing committees and from the university president.
Committee meetings will be held earlier in the day Friday. The Executive Affairs Committee will meet at 8:45 a.m. in the Hendrick Room. At 9:15 a.m., the Financial Affairs and Responsibility Committee will meet in the President’s Dining Room, and the Planning and Accreditation Committee will meet in the Hendrick Room. At 10 a.m., the Academic Affairs and Shared Governance Committee will meet in the President’s Dining Room, while the Student Affairs and Athletics Committee meets in the Hendrick Room. At 10:45 a.m., the Alumni Development Committee meets in the Hendrick Room, while the University Development Committee meets in the President’s Dining Room.
The board will honor the three new Trustees’ Research Scholars—Jeff Lee, Jeff Pompe and Jon Tuttle—at a luncheon following the meeting. A planetarium show is scheduled for the trustees at 1:30 p.m.
