FLORENCE, S.C. – Vocal Edition will perform at the 28th-annual Art’s Alive festival on the campus of Francis Marion University, Saturday, April 16.
The group’s performance will begin at 11 a.m. in the Hyman Fine Arts Center’s Adele Kassab Recital Hall.
Founded in January 1993, Vocal Edition is a 24-member SATB choral ensemble based in Myrtle Beach. The volunteer members are auditioned singers from the area’s business and professional community. With an eclectic repertoire of pops, jazz, spirituals, ballads and of course, humor, the group takes its music (and its fun!) very seriously.
Under the musical direction of C. Kraig McBroom, Vocal Edition has appeared throughout South Carolina.
The Art’s Alive festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., rain or shine, and is free and open to the public. The event is a celebration of the visual and performing arts for the whole family, with simultaneous performances at five different venues on campus.
