Danielle Shoemaker crowned Ms. FMU 2005
Danielle Shoemaker of Myrtle Beach was crowned Ms. FMU 2005 during the annual pageant at Francis Marion University, March 31.
Shoemaker, a junior history major, is a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority, Phi Alpha Theta honor society in history, and the College Republicans.
Lauren Karelitz of Columbia was named first runner-up. Karelitz is a junior marketing major. She has served as an orientation leader and cheerleader. She is a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority, where she has held several offices, including president.
Tiffany Holmes of Sumter was named second runner-up. Holmes is a junior elementary education major, who is also active in the theatre department. She is an orientation leader, and a charter member and president of Gamma Sigma Sigma service sorority.
Jessica Millsaps of Lugoff was named Miss Congeniality by her fellow contestants. Millsaps, a sophomore elementary education major, is a member of Kappa Delta sorority, where she serves as vice president – membership. She is also active in the Baptist Collegiate Ministry.
Ms. FMU must be a full-time student, have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5, and complete a community service project. The winner is selected based on an interview, pageant performance, and overall bearing and ability to best represent Francis Marion University.
