FMU's Cut Time show choir to perform, April 19
Cut Time, Francis Marion University’s 14-voice show choir, will “Go Country” when it performs in concert on Tuesday, April 19.

The performance will begin at 8 p.m. in the Hyman Fine Arts Center’s Adele Kassab Recital Hall. The concert is free and open to the public.

The program will begin with “Mountain Music,” followed by songs including “Cowboy Take Me Away,” “T-R-O-U-B-L-E,” “I Am A Man of Constant Sorrow,” “Up!,” “I Hope You Dance,” and “If Bubba Can Dance I Can Too.” There will also be solos and duets performed by various members of the group.

Cut Time performed on a Music Festivals cruise, April 1-4, where the group was awarded a “Superior” rating and received a trophy and a gold medal. In addition, three members performed solos and were also awarded trophies. They were Courtney Dease of Scranton, Christian Weatherford of Pamplico, and Joey Webster of Dillon.

The group is directed by Sue Butler Orr, FMU assistant professor of music and choral director. The choreographer is FMU student Mandy Domeneche of Florence.
