FLORENCE, S.C. – Student Government Association officers and senators for 2005-06 were elected at Francis Marion University, April 5-6.
The SGA is the primary organization that represents all FMU students on planning, organizing and directing the student organizations and programs on campus. The SGA jointly participates with the faculty and administration in certain designated areas of governance of the university.
Richard Daniel Neier of Florence was elected president, Tamika Hudgens of Piedmont was elected vice president, Tiffany Gibson of Dillon was elected treasurer, and Frank Wright of Florence was elected secretary.
Neier was sworn in as president April 19 at the university’s Student Life Awards. The other officers will be sworn in at the first SGA meeting in the fall.
