FMU Planetarium to show "Universe of Dr. Einstein" program, Sept. 11
FLORENCE, S.C. – The Dooley Planetarium on the campus of Francis Marion University will present a program titled “Universe of Dr. Einstein,” Sunday (Sept. 11).
The program will begin at 3 p.m. and admission is free. The planetarium, located on the second floor of the Cauthen Educational Media Center, will open its doors at 2:30 p.m., and no admittance will be allowed once viewing begins.
In honor of the 100th anniversary of the three papers published by Dr. Albert Einstein in 1905, the Dooley Planetarium presents a show about the life and work of this important scientist.
Since its opening in 1978, the planetarium has regularly shown public programs on the second and fourth Sundays of each month. The program on Sept. 25 is titled “It’s About Time.”
