FLORENCE, S.C. – The Francis Marion University Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws (EUDL) Task Force will kick off its National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week activities Wednesday (Oct. 12) with a "Green Bean Campaign."
The campaign is a series of fliers encouraging students to discuss alcohol abuse. The campaign compares drinking six beers a night to eating six cans of green beans a night.
On Tuesday, Oct. 18, members of the task force will attend the FMU women’s soccer match at 4 p.m. and the Patriot volleyball match at 7 p.m. In between the two athletic contests, at 5:30 p.m., FMU students are invited to a "tailgate party with a purpose" on the Smith University Center pool patio, with free food and music. The FMU Campus Police will conduct sobriety activities using "drunk goggles."
