FLORENCE, S.C. – Eight Francis Marion University students were inducted into Kappa Mu Epsilon, a national honor society in mathematics, Oct. 24.
Chapters of Kappa Mu Epsilon, which was founded in 1931, are located in colleges and universities of recognized standing that offer a strong mathematics major. The chapter members are selected from students of mathematics and other closely related fields who have maintained standards of scholarship, have professional merit, and have attained academic distinction. Today the society has 118 chapters and approximately 61,000 members in 34 states.
