Patriots Host Mount Olive, Monday at 7:30 p.m.

FLORENCE, SC – The Francis Marion University men’s basketball team will play in the friendly confines of the Smith University Center for the first time this season when the Patriots host Mount Olive College, Monday (Jan. 3) at 7:30 p.m.

The Patriots own a 5-4 mark after splitting two games last week at the Winter Park (Fla.) Rotary Tangerine Tournament.  Mount Olive is 6-1, but will be playing for the first time in nearly three weeks.

Francis Marion has won 12 consecutive games in the Smith University Center, one of the longest home-court winning streaks in NCAA Division II.

The game will be a match-up of two squads that advanced to last year’s NCAA Division II national tournament.  FMU made an appearance in the round of Sweet Sixteen, while Mount Olive was a first-round loser.
