Patriots Pick Up One Spot In NCAA Poll
FLORENCE, S.C. – After taking two games from a nationally ranked opponent for the second straight weekend, the Francis Marion University baseball team moved up one position to 28th in this week’s Collegiate Baseball Magazine NCAA Division II Top 30 poll released Monday (March 7).

The 13-6-1 Patriots will play three road games this week.  FMU will play at 10-14 Barton College, Tuesday at 2 p.m, before playing single games at Mount Olive College on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.

Upon returning home, Francis Marion will play host to 21st-ranked UNC Pembroke for a three-game Peach Belt Conference series, Saturday and Sunday.  The two teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday at 1 p.m. and a single game on Sunday at 2 p.m.

All six of FMU’s losses this season have been to nationally ranked opponents.  Six Peach Belt squads are listed in this week’s poll.  Florida Southern College (18-1) suffered its first loss this past week, but maintained a hold on the No. 1 spot.
