FMU's Allen Named to PBC All-Tournament Team
    FLORENCE, S.C. – Francis Marion University sophomore third baseman Janine Allen was selected to the All-Tournament Team at this past weekend’s Peach Belt Conference women’s softball tournament in Aiken.

    Allen, a native of Lilburn, Ga., batted .417 in FMU’s four games, while tallying four runs scored, two doubles, two home runs, and four runs batted in.  She compiled a 1.083 slugging percentage.

    Francis Marion won its opening two games in the tournament, before losing to the top two seeds on Saturday.  With a 36-14 overall record, the squad is in the running for a bid to the NCAA Division II national tournament.  The tournament field will be announced on May 9.

    Allen is a product of Brookwood High School.
