FMU's Greenaway Named to All-PBC Soccer Squad; Busby and Conrad also Honored
FLORENCE, S.C. – Francis Marion University senior back Mike Greenaway has been named to the Peach Belt Conference 2005 men’s soccer All-Conference Team.

The Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada, native earns All-PBC honors for the third consecutive year.

Greenaway missed two of the team’s first six matches with an injury, but started the other 18 matches and anchored the Patriot defense. He scored three goals on 16 shots, including the match-winner against local-rival Coker College, and assisted on one goal. He ended his career with seven goals and four assists.

The FMU men finished the year 8-11-1, with six of the losses being to nationally ranked opponents.

Two other Patriot soccer players were named to the All-Tournament Team at last week’s PBC Tournament in Morrow, Ga. Sophomore midfielder Shondell Busby (Toronto, Ontario, Canada) and senior back Andy Conrad (Edgewood, Ky.) were both honored as the Patriots advanced to the tournament semifinals before losing to 18th-ranked USC Upstate.
