FMU's Non-Profit Leadership Institute to hold sessions, Jan. 19-20
FLORENCE, S.C. – The Non-Profit Leadership Institute at Francis Marion University will hold its sixth and seventh sessions, Jan. 19-20.
The institute is a seven-month training program for leaders of non-profits. Twenty-eight participants from across the state are members of this year’s class.
Funded initially with multi-year grants from the Drs. Bruce and Lee Foundation, the institute now receives major support from FMU, along with a grant from the PSARAS Foundation.
Thursday’s session will be conducted by Toby Bethea, major/planned giving officer of the San Diego Natural History Museum.
The luncheon speaker Thursday will be Molly B. Goodwin, a senior consultant with Corporate DevelopMint.
Alfreda Barringer, director of operations for Grassroots Leadership in Charlotte, N.C., will conduct Friday’s session.
Fred Sheheen, former commissioner and executive director of the S.C. Commission on Higher Education, is director of the FMU Non-Profit Leadership Institute.
