Public Input Sought for Accreditation of FMU Nursing Program

          FLORENCE---The Francis Marion University Department of Nursing will undergo a site visit by the National League for Nursing Accreditation, Feb. 28 through March 2.

          The purpose the site visit is initial accreditation of the bachelor of science in nursing program at FMU.

          Interested members of the public are invited to meet with the site visitors to share comments about the FMU program. A public hearing is scheduled from 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, in Lowrimore Auditorium in the Cauthen Educational Media Center on the FMU campus.

          The public may also submit written comments to the accreditation team through Sylvia R. Lufkin, Chairwoman, Department of Nursing, Francis Marion University, P.O. Box 100547, Florence, S.C. 29501, or to Dr. Carol Gilbert, NLNAC, 61 Broadway-33rd Floor, New York, N.Y. 10006.
