FLORENCE, S.C. – The Francis Marion University Foundation/Alumni Golf Classic sponsored by BB&T will be held Friday, March 17, at the Country Club of South Carolina. 

    Proceeds from the event will benefit the Tom Roop Scholarship and the Neal Thigpen Chair at Francis Marion University.

    The event will begin with a luncheon and registration at 11 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at noon. The format will be a modified captain’s choice. The Pee Dee Pig Pickin’ cookout will be held following the end of play.

    The entry fees are $1,000 for a team (which includes entry fees for a foursome and sponsorship signage) and $200 for an individual. Individual hole sponsorships are also available for $250. The registration deadline is March 3.

    Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three teams, and a hole-in-one contest will be sponsored by King Cadillac-Oldsmobile-GMC Inc.
