FLORENCE, S.C. – Brandon “Brandie” Davis Love has been named director of annual giving and constituent relations at Francis Marion University.
Her responsibilities will include raising money for annual giving programs, including soliciting alumni, corporations, and friends of the university through direct mail, personal solicitations, a phone-a-thon, and other means. She will also work with the university’s stewardship programs, including an annual scholarship reception, the Francis Marion Society, and other donor-related recognition events.
Most recently, Love was assistant director of donor relations at the University of South Carolina. Prior to that, she was assistant director of annual giving and donor relations at Columbia College.
“We are excited and pleased that Brandie has joined the Foundation and Development office at FMU,” said Jay Dowd, FMU’s vice president for development and executive director of the FMU Foundation. “She brings a broad base of experience in annual giving and constituent relations programs, which is a wonderful match as we expand and improve these programs.”
A native of Chapin, Love earned the B.A. degree in public affairs from Columbia College and the A.A. degree from Spartanburg Methodist College.
Her professional and civic affiliations include the Junior League of Columbia, the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), and the Association of Donor Relations (ADRP).
Love and her husband, Nathan, will reside in Florence.
