FMU Concert Choir to perform Dec. 3 at Florence's St. Luke Lutheran Church

          FLORENCE---The Francis Marion University Concert Choir will present its Christmas concert Sunday, Dec. 3, at 3 p.m. at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 1201 Cherokee Road, Florence.

          Directed by Sue B. Orr, associate professor of music, the program is entitled “The Carol” and features Christmas carols from various countries, some familiar and some not so well known. The choir will sing carols from England, Germany, France, Denmark, Poland, the Ukraine, Austria and Spain.

          Accompanist for the FMU Concert Choir is Rebecca M. Culbertson, while flutists are Darcy Hall of Charleston and Kayla Hamelink of Florence. Percussionist will be chip Culbertson.

          This concert is presented as part of the Honda of South Carolina Concerts in the Park Series, sponsored by the Florence Regional Arts Alliance in collaboration with the City of Florence Parks and Leisure Services Department and the Florence Museum.

          Choir members participating in the program are:

Sopranos:    Tarah Bailey of Mullins; Niasha Blanding of Brooklyn, N.Y., Jassamine Cooper of Lake City, Heather Cosson of Sumter, Heather Dunham of Florence, Alissa Dyne of Sumter, Shakeya Haith of Camden, Jessica Mikell of Florence, Melia Nader of Rock Hill, Ashley Rodriguez of Sumter, and Amber Wilks of Florence.

Altos:           Stacy Gandy of Chapin, Darcy Hall of Charleston, Morgan Phelan of Florence, Kiswana Salters of Florence, Kinsey Sattane of Jefferson, Brittney Sherman of Conway, and Kelly Williams of Holly Hill.

Tenors:        Kyle Brazell of Winnsboro, Zac Calcutt of Florence, Whit France-Kelly of Loris, Trayton Graham of Lake City, Lawrence Robinson of Jenkinsville, and Joey Webster of Dillon.

Basses:        Javarie Curry of Columbia, Joe Fox of Canfield, Ohio, Jason Jones of Florence, Robert Jones of Florence, Casey Tyler of Chapin, and Kevin Williams of Brooklyn, N.Y.
