FMU cagers host twinbill on Saturday

          FLORENCE, S.C. – Both the Francis Marion University men’s and women’s basketball teams will attempt to remain unbeaten when they host games on Saturday evening (Nov. 24).

            The 2-0 Patriot women will host The Apprentice School (1-1) at 5:30 p.m. on Florence County Schools Appreciation Night, while the 3-0 FMU men will entertain Newberry College (1-2) at 7:30 p.m.

            Any Florence County School student (kindergarten through eighth grade) will be admitted free with an identification card or their report card.

          It will be the first-ever meeting between the two women’s programs, while Francis Marion leads the long-time series with former NAIA District Six rival Newberry 24-18.
