Operation Identification, or “Op-ID,” is a special initiative of the FMU Campus Police to assist members of the campus community in recovering lost or stolen property and reducing incidents of same.
Operation Identification is easy to use. Simply fill out the form below with as much information as possible, and submit it to the Campus Police (forms are also available at the Campus Police office). Submit one form for each piece of personal property. Note: only items of unusual value should be submitted.
Once received, the information will be entered into a database maintained by the Campus Police.
If property that should be included in the OP-ID program does not already have a serial number, Campus Police will provide engraving tools and instructions on how to mark it.
Bicycles represent a special class of items for OP-ID. To register a bicycle, bring it by the Campus Police office during normal business hours. Registration only takes a few minutes.
For more information on OP-ID, contact the Campus Police at 843-661-1109.
