RN to BSN Program - Mt. Pleasant

The RN to BSN program at Francis Marion University is designed to help you reach the next step in your career right in your own backyard. This program is for any registered nurse with an associate degree or diploma in nursing seeking a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Courses in this program are hybrid which means you'll have some online components, but also regular interaction with the highly skilled nursing faculty of FMU.

The RN to BSN program allows registered nurses to gain new knowledge regarding roles and responsibilities of the professional nurse in a rapidly changing health care environment and to build on their previous education.

Graduates of the RN to BSN program are prepared to apply for advanced degree programs such as the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree as well as other career opportunities. Learning in this track focuses on the enhancement of critical thinking, scientific bases for decision making and the development of leadership qualities and skills.

    • Unencumbered valid RN license
    • 3 positive references using this form
    • Proof of AHA CPR
    • Proof of individual malpractice insurance

Francis Marion University's Department of Nursing is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). The Department offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
