The materials on this web site are available for use in research, teaching, and private study.  You may reproduce (print, make photocopies, or download) materials from this web site without prior permission for these non-commercial purposes, on the condition that you provide attribution of the source in all copies.

United States Copyright Law

The copyright law of the United States {under Title 17 United States Code ~

http://www.copyright.gov/title17/} governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material.

Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction.  One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be “used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research.”  If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of “fair use” or any other exception to the copyright law that user may be liable for infringement.  This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.

For more information about copyright law and how it applies to information found on the internet and printed sources, see the Copyright and Fair Use site (http://fairuse.standford.edu/) at Stanford or the ALA Copyright Advisory Network (http://www.librarycopyright.net).
