Navigating Our Report

To ensure that our documents are accessible to reviewers, Francis Marion University’s SACS Compliance Report is available in three media:

Our Print Version


Francis Marion University’s Compliance Report comprises 80 compliance analyses numbered according to the standards set forth by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools - Commission on Colleges. These include Core Requirements, Comprehensive Standards, and Federal Requirements.  Each analysis include the requirements and the University’s judgment of compliance.


The rationale section of each compliance analysis presents the explanation supporting FMU’s compliance judgment.  Parenthetical citations provide a quick reference to the source of the information.  Complete source citations are provided in endnotes, as well as online under the heading for All Sources Cited.

The Compliance Report web page provides access to each compliance analysis, which readers can select by number.  Readers can also view the source documents cited in our report by clicking on the hyperlinks in the endnotes or by browsing through the links on the Source Documents page.  The most frequently-cited sources are located near the top of the Source Documents page and the alphabetized links under All Sources Cited allow searching by author or title.
