North Georgia got off to a quick start when Megan Huffman put home a lay-up on a pass from Krystyn Young for a 4-0 lead.
North Georgia held the lead until Young gave the Patriots a one-point lead on a running lay-up with 9:15 left in the half to make it a 17-18 Francis Marion edge. The Patriots would extend that lead to five points at 25-20 on a jumper by Shannon Singleton-Bates with 7:06 left.
The Lady Saints would take the lead back with four ticks left before the break on a lay-up by Victoria Peevy on the dish from Meredith Montgomery to make it a 36-34 halftime score.
The Patriots took the lead in the second and held on until the 12:28 mark when Huffman knocked down a pair of free throws to give North Georgia a 57-55 lead. The Lady Saints would go on a run that lasted just under five minutes and saw them outscore the Patriots 19-5 to pull away for a 74-60 lead with 7:59 to play.
