FLORENCE, SC – The 25th-ranked Francis Marion University men’s tennis team beat an incoming rain storm and Pfeiffer University 6-0, Thursday afternoon (Feb. 21) in non-conference action.

With the threat of rain in the forecast, the two squads played the singles matches first, and then the doubles competition was canceled because of the precipitation.

The Patriots lost only 14 games in the six singles match to improve to 5-0.  Pfeiffer drops to 1-2.

Francis Marion will play host to eighth-ranked Lander University (5-1, 4-0) on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. in a key Peach Belt Conference match.  Pfeiffer entertains North Georgia College & State University on Saturday at 11 a.m.
