FLORENCE, SC - Francis Marion University senior runner Codi Knoch set a school record in the 5,000-meters at last weekend’s SSU Eyeopener Track and Field Meet host by Savannah State University.

Knoch, a native of Wapakoneta, Ohio, won the event in a time of 19:22, smashing the old mark of 19:46 set by Beth Muncey in 1999.

Knoch was an All-Peach Belt Conference cross country runner in 2006.

She is a product of Wapakoneta Senior High School.
