HICKORY, N.C. - Led by junior Lezlie Logan and senior Kelly Feber, Francis Marion University won both its matches on Friday at the Moretz Invitational Volleyball Tournament in Hickory, N.C.

FMU (4-2) beat previously undefeated Slippery Rock University 30-21, 24-30, 30-24, 23-30, 15-4 and then downed the host school Lenoir-Rhyne College 30-23, 29-31, 30-14, 31-29.

In the opening victory, Logan had 15 kills, while Feber compiled 14 kills, 12 digs, and three service aces.  Jessica Bartlett added 14 kills, while freshman setter Jenna Kaiser came off the Patriot bench to record 32 assists.

Against Lenoir-Rhyne (3-2), Logan tallied 16 kills and five total blocks, while Feber again had a double-double with 14 kills and 10 digs.  Kaiser handed out 36 assists.

Junior libero Jessica Strader combined for 33 digs in the two matches.

Francis Marion will play Pfeiffer University and Catawba College on Saturday to conclude its tournament action.
