SAVANNAH, GA – After dropping its opening two matches on Friday, the Francis Marion University volleyball regrouped to win two matches on Saturday at the AASU/Chatham Orthopaedics Volleyball Classic in Savannah, Ga.

FMU improved to 9-4 with a 26-30, 30-27, 33-31, 30-26 win over Rollins College and a 30-28, 30-23, 30-26 victory over Florida Tech.

Senior Kelly Feber led the Patriots to the opening win with 20 kills, 12 digs, and four total blocks.  Junior Lezlie Logan and sophomore Michelle Settergren each had 12 kills. Sophomore setter Brittany Helgeson recorded 54 assists, while libero Jessica Strader had 19 digs and five service aces.

Against Florida Tech, Logan paced Francis Marion with 21 kills, while Feber tallied 15 kills, 10 digs, and three service aces.  Helgeson recorded 47 assists and three aces.

FMU will play at Newberry College, Tuesday at 7 p.m.
