SAVANNAH, GA - Using a balanced hitting attack, Francis Marion University claimed a 30-21, 30-20, 30-28 win over the University of West Georgia, Saturday morning (Sept. 17) at the AASU Volleyball Clash in Savannah, Ga.

The Patriots improved to 11-4, while West Georgia fell to 9-5.  FMU will next face seventh-ranked University of Tampa, Sunday at noon.

Three Patriots - Lezlie Logan, Kelly Feber, and Michelle Settergren - all had nine kills, while Jessica Bartlett recorded eight kills.  Sophomore setter Brittany Helgeson handed out 27 assists in two games, and freshman Jenna Kaiser dished out 13 assists in the other game.

Libero Jessica Strader dug out a game-high 14 balls, while Feber had 12 digs.  FMU also served 10 aces, led by Strader's four.
