FLORENCE, S.C. – Senior Jasmin Brown's 16 kills led three Presbyterian College players with double-figure kills as the Blue Hose easily swept past Francis Marion University in three games, 30-13, 32-30, 30-14, Tuesday evening (Oct. 18) in non-conference women's volleyball action.

Presbyterian ups its record to 23-4, while Francis Marion (20-10) suffers its 10th loss in 30 decisions.

Following Brown, freshman Justine Lanchester pounded out 11 kills, had five total blocks, and hit .625 for the match.  Senior Erin Friday added 10 kills, while freshman setter Rachel Lewis handed out 39 assists.  Libero Malorey Grove and Lauren Mason each had 14 digs for the Blue Hose.

Junior Lezlie Logan led FMU with 10 kills.  The Patriots were held to a .085 team hitting percentage.  Sophomore setter Brittany Helgeson came off the Patriot bench to dish out 22 assists.

Presbyterian jumped out to a 7-1 lead in game one and never trailed.  Game two was a nip-and-tuck affair that ended on a Brown kill, after FMU had led 30-29.  The Blue Hose broke a 4-4 tie in game three with a 13-2 run and were never threatened.

FMU will celebrate Senior Night on Friday when the Patriots entertain Peach Belt Conference leader Armstrong Atlantic State University at 7 p.m.  Presbyterian will play at Lenoir-Rhyne College, Friday at 7 p.m.
