FMU splits Dual Match with CSU

COLUMBUS, GA. - The two nationally ranked Francis Marion University tennis team split a Peach Belt Conference dual match at Columbus State University on Saturday (March 4), with the men winning 5-4 and the Patriot women losing 6-3.  FMU will play at Georgia College & State University, Sunday in Milledgeville, Ga.

The CSU women remained perfect on the season with a 6-3 win over Francis Marion in a PBC match at the Blackmon Tennis Center. The Lady Cougars won four of six singles matches and took two of three in doubles play. CSU moves to 6-0 and 3-0 in PBC play, while 36th-ranked FMU drops to 4-3 and 1-2.

Fifteenth-ranked Francis Marion handed the Columbus State men their first loss of the season with a 5-4 setback at the Blackmon Tennis Center. FMU (3-1, 2-1) won two of three doubles matches and split the three singles matches.
