FLORENCE, S.C. - The 16th-ranked Francis Marion University men's tennis team did not lose a set in blanking Lees-McRae College 9-0, Monday (March 13) in non-conference action on the Kassab Courts.
The Patriots (7-1) dropped one spot in the new Top 40 poll released on Friday, but it did not seem to bother the squad on Monday. Only Chatwinder Singh at No. 3 singles was pushed to a tiebreaker.
The 6-3 Patriot women's tennis team made a major move in the new national rankings, jumping up 23 positions from 36th to 13th.
Both FMU squads will play host to Augusta State University, Wednesday at 2 p.m. in a Peach Belt Conference dual match.
