FLORENCE, S.C. – The 20th-ranked Francis Marion University women’s tennis team captured a cool 8-1 season-opening win over a short-handed Brenau University squad, Saturday afternoon (Feb. 3) on the Kassab Courts.
With only five healthy players, Brenau (0-1) had to forfeit its matches at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles. FMU won the other two doubles matches to open the contest with a 3-0 advantage.
Both the FMU men and women will play host to Barton College, Wednesday at 3 p.m.
