November 5, 2007 - Huntsville, Ala. - The Francis Marion University men's and women's cross country teams placed 18th and 21st respectively at the NCAA Division II South Regional Championships, Saturday morning (Nov. 3).
October 20, 2007 - The Francis Marion University men’s and women’s cross country teams placed fifth and sixth respectively at Saturday’s (Oct. 20) Peach Belt Conference championship meet.
October 6, 2007 - The Francis Marion University men's and women's cross country teams placed sixth and seventh respectively, Saturday morning (Oct. 6) at the Hagan Stone Cross Country Classic in Greensboro, N.C.
September 23, 2007 - The Francis Marion University men’s and women’s cross country teams placed seventh and eighth respectively at the Jaguar Invitational Meet hosted by Augusta State University on Saturday (Sept. 22).
September 17, 2007 - Both the Francis Marion University men’s and women’s cross country teams finished fifth at the Carl Broughton Invitational Meet hosted by Marietta College on Saturday (Sept. 15).
September 10, 2007 - Paced by freshman Ben Miller, the Francis Marion University men's cross country team placed second at the 36th-annual UNC Pembroke Cross Country Invitational Meet. The FMU women finished fourth in the opening race.
August 31, 2007 - The fall sports seasons at Francis Marion University will begin at the end of the month and in preparation, five Patriot athletic teams have or will soon begin pre-season drills.
February 15, 2007 - The Francis Marion University men's cross country team recently earned All-Academic team honors from the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), while senior runner Patrick Hopewell gained individual All-Academic recognition.
January 23, 2007 - Francis Marion University athletic officials have announced that former men’s cross country runner and track and field athlete David Stafford will be the newest inductee into the FMU Athletic Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony will take place during Homecoming activities on Saturday, Feb. 17. The ceremony will occur at approximately 3:45 p.m. in the Smith University Center gymnasium, between the women’s and men's games of the FMU and Georgia College & State University basketball doubleheader.
