FLORENCE, SC - The fifth-annual Branch Banking and Trust Company (BB&T) Corporate Challenge golf tournament to benefit the Francis Marion University golf program will be held Thursday and Friday (Sept. 8-9) at the Country Club of South Carolina in Florence.
The 36-hole tournament is a four-player team stroke event, handicapped by 75 percent of USGA handicaps. A maximum field of 32 teams is expected to be filled by corporations and individuals from throughout the Pee Dee region and the state. Players will be competing for personal prizes as well as having their corporate name engraved on the tournament's perpetual trophy on display at The Country Club of South Carolina. Tournament registration also includes player gifts, lunch, refreshments for both days, and a veranda party and awards ceremony following the final day of play.
Over the past four years, the event has raised more than $60,000 to benefit the Patriot golf program. Carolina Bank is the event's previous title sponsor.
