Peach Belt to Provide Streaming Video for Basketball Regionals

AUGUSTA, GA – The Peach Belt Conference and commissioner David R. Brunk announced that the league will provide free audio and video coverage of both the men’s and women’s NCAA Division II basketball regionals.  The games will be available through the conference’s partner, Penn Atlantic, and made available through the league’s www.peachbeltsports.tv website.  All games will be provided for free.

“The Peach Belt is extremely proud to be the only Division II conference in the country that is able to offer live streaming audio and video for every NCAA regional game,” said commissioner Brunk. “Thanks to the cooperation of the other schools and leagues in our region, we have this unprecedented opportunity to showcase the excellent basketball we have in the South Atlantic Region.”

The Peach Belt is in its first year of the partnership with Penn Atlantic, which offered a no-buffer, high-bitrate video stream for league basketball games.  Regular season and PBC Tournament games were seen on a pay-per-view basis, however that has been waived for the NCAA Tournament.

The women’s basketball regional begins on Friday, March 14, at 1:00 pm at Francis Marion University as top-seeded Wingate takes on #8 seed Johnson C. Smith.  The men’s regional begins a day later on Saturday at Augusta State University where #3 Wingate will meet #6 Catawba at noon.

All regional games can be seen at www.peachbeltsports.tv.   The free stream will be limited to the first 200 fans who wish to see the game.
