HARTSVIILLE, SC - Freshman Ivan Juric scored a pair of goals, one in each half, to help carry Francis Marion University to a 3-0 victory over local-rival Coker College, Saturday afternoon (Oct. 6) in men's non-conference soccer action action spoiling the Cobras' Homecoming match.

FMU improves to 4-8 overall with its 12th straight win over the Cobras, while Coker drops to 5-9.

The Patriots jumped out to an early 1-0 lead when Juric scored in the ninth minute. FMU upped its advantage to 2-0 when sophomore Kyle Clinton scored off a deflection from a direct kick by Biagio Galle in the 26th minute.

The Patriots' margin grew to 3-0 when Juric tallied his second score, this one in the 74th minute.

Junior goalkeeper Nick Krywyj recorded the shutout for FMU.

Francis Marion returns to Peach Belt Conference play next Saturday when the Patriots travel to play nationally ranked Lander University in a 3:30 p.m. match.
