AUGUSTA, GA. – Francis Marion University seniors Mike Greenaway and Jamie Wiggins have been named to the inaugural Peach Belt Conference All-Sportsmanship Team, as announced by PBC commissioner Marvin Vanover this week.
One male and one female student-athlete from each of the league’s 11 member schools were placed on the team.
Greenaway, a native of Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada, was a four-year standout on the Patriot soccer team, while Wiggins, a native of Marion, was a three-year starter at catcher for the Patriot softball team. Both individuals recently earned B.S. degrees in biology at the spring commencement exercises. Wiggins graduated cum laude.
Each PBC member institution selected its own representatives to appear on the teams using criteria set by each school. However, each student-athlete on the All-Sportsmanship Team has demonstrated consistently good sportsmanship and ethical behavior in his or her daily participation in PBC athletics and good citizenship outside of his or her sports setting.
