April 30, 2008 - The Francis Marion University men’s and women’s tennis teams learned late on Wednesday (April 30) that they both have earned invitations to participate in the NCAA Division II Tournament, with the Patriot women set to serve as a first- and second-round tournament host. This marks the third straight trip for the FMU women, and the eighth in the past 14 years. The Patriot men missed out on last year’s tournament but will be participating for the 12th time in the past 14 seasons. 

April 17, 2008 - Both the Francis Marion University men’s and women’s tennis teams will travel to Savannah, Ga., this weekend for the Peach Belt Conference Tournaments. The double-elimination tournaments will be hosted by Armstrong Atlantic State University, with some matches being played at the Savannah Country Day School. 

March 25, 2008 - Francis Marion University senior Franklyn Emmanuel has been selected as the Peach Belt Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for the week of March 3-10. 

February 29, 2008 - Francis Marion University seniors Franklyn Emmanuel and Sarka Vitkova have been named to their respective Peach Belt Conference preseason All-Conference men’s and women’s tennis teams. Emmanuel was one of seven players on the men’s squad, while Vitkova was one of six on the women’s team. 

December 5, 2007 - The Francis Marion University men’s and women’s tennis teams are both ranked in the 2007 fall Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) NCAA Division II Top 40 polls. The Patriot women are ranked 15th, while the men occupy the No. 25 position. 

June 13, 2006 - Francis Marion University senior Kevin Taylor has been named to the 2006 Intercollegiate Tennis Association NCAA Division II All-America Team. Several other Patriot netters were listed among the end-of-the-season Division II national individual rankings.  

June 6, 2006 - The Francis Marion University women's tennis team is ranked 11th in the final 2006 Fila Collegiate Tennis NCAA Division II Top 40 poll, while the Patriot men's team is ranked 15th.  

May 19, 2006 - Francis Marion University men's tennis player Kevin Taylor has been named the 2006 Mid-Atlantic Region "Senior Player of the Year," as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) this week.  

April 28, 2006 - Both the Francis Marion University men's and women's tennis teams learned Thursday that they have earned invitations to participate in the NCAA Division II Tournament. This marks the Patriot men's 11th trip to the NCAAs in the past 12 years, and the women's sixth trip during that span, but the first since 1999.  

April 13, 2006 - Francis Marion University head coach Garth Thomson, senior Kevin Taylor, and junior David Budler all earned awards at the 2006 Peach Belt Conference tennis awards banquet in Sumter, held in conjunction with the PBC men's and women's tennis tournaments. 

April 11, 2006 - Francis Marion University will serve as host of the 2006 Peach Belt Conference men's and women's tennis championships, Thursday through Saturday at the Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter.  

April 10, 2006 - With the release of three new NCAA Division II national polls, two Francis Marion University sports teams are ranked in the Top 10 with a third squad knocking on the door at No. 11. The FMU baseball team, with a 27-11 record, is ranked ninth in this week's Collegiate Baseball Magazine NCAA Division II Top 30 poll. The Patriot men's tennis team (16-1) remains eighth in the latest Fila Collegiate Tennis Rankings (NCAA Division II Top 40), while the Patriot women (17-4) move up two spots to 11th position.  

March 30, 2006 - Francis Marion University junior David Budler has been named the Peach Belt Conference men's tennis Player of the Week, for the two-week period ending March 27.  

March 28, 2006 - The Francis Marion University men's tennis team moved up eight positions to eighth in the latest Fila Collegiate Tennis Rankings (NCAA Division II Top 40), while the Patriot women remain in the 13th spot.  

April 5, 2005 - For the second time this season, Francis Marion University junior Kevin Taylor has been named the Peach Belt Conference men's tennis Player of the Week, this time for the two-week period ending April 6. 

March 9, 2005 - Francis Marion University junior Kevin Taylor has been named the Peach Belt Conference men's tennis Player of the Week for the two-week period ending March 7.
