May 12, 2008 - The Francis Marion University softball and men’s and women’s tennis teams left Florence on Monday to travel to Houston, Texas, for the NCAA Division II Spring National Championships Festival and their respective finals competition. April 30, 2008 - The Francis Marion University men’s and women’s tennis teams learned late on Wednesday (April 30) that they both have earned invitations to participate in the NCAA Division II Tournament, with the Patriot women set to serve as a first- and second-round tournament host. This marks the third straight trip for the FMU women, and the eighth in the past 14 years. The Patriot men missed out on last year’s tournament but will be participating for the 12th time in the past 14 seasons. 

April 17, 2008 - Both the Francis Marion University men’s and women’s tennis teams will travel to Savannah, Ga., this weekend for the Peach Belt Conference Tournaments. The double-elimination tournaments will be hosted by Armstrong Atlantic State University, with some matches being played at the Savannah Country Day School. 

March 24, 2008 - Francis Marion University sophomore Tereza Sykorova has been selected as the Peach Belt Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Week for the week of March 17-23. 

February 29, 2008 - Francis Marion University seniors Franklyn Emmanuel and Sarka Vitkova have been named to their respective Peach Belt Conference preseason All-Conference men’s and women’s tennis teams. Emmanuel was one of seven players on the men’s squad, while Vitkova was one of six on the women’s team. 

December 5, 2007 - The Francis Marion University men’s and women’s tennis teams are both ranked in the 2007 fall Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) NCAA Division II Top 40 polls. The Patriot women are ranked 15th, while the men occupy the No. 25 position. 

May 4, 2007 - Second-ranked Armstrong Atlantic State University blanked 16th-ranked Francis Marion University 5-0, Friday afternoon (May 4) in the championship match of the NCAA Division II Women’s Tennis Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament. Francis Marion ends its season 16-8, the second-most wins in school history. 

April 15, 2004 - FLORENCE, S.C. – The Francis Marion University men’s and women’s tennis teams will open their 2004 seasons by playing host to North Greenville College, Saturday, Jan. 31, at 2 p.m.
